Niara Hardister

Niara Hardister is a New York based dancer and arts administrator from Riverside, California. In 2018, she graduated from Cornell University with a major in Hotel Administration and a minor in Dance. During college, she trained with Jumay Chu, Byron Suber, Nic Ceynowa, and Tucker Davis. She also founded the Cornell Dancers' Alliance, worked as a Teaching Assistant at Ithaca College, and interned with both the Debbie Allen Dance Academy and Battery Dance Company.

Later, she moved to San Francisco where she performed with PUSH Dance Company, the LV Dance Collective, and Printz Dance Project. While in San Francisco, Niara joined the administrative team for David Herrera Performance Company, where she currently works as the Programs Manager. Since moving to New York, she has freelanced with The MET Opera, Nicole von Arx, Jamel Gaines, Helen Simoneau, Nicolas Fiery, Sofia Forero, and Eryc Taylor. Additionally, she has performed commercial work with musical artist iskwē and Bombay Sapphire™. Niara continues her training by attending workshops by ODC, Kristin Damrow, NVA & Guest, and Sidra Bell. Most recently, she completed a mentorship with Camille A. Brown & Dancers.
